Our arrival in this “heavenly Jerusalem” is not yet consummate, for we are still “receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken” (Heb 12:28) and continue to “seek the city that is to come” (Heb 13:14). During this present era, therefore, the three sections of the temple continue into the new temple, though invisibly, until their purpose and fulfillment are completed at the destruction of the old order and establishment of the new.
