Testament prophets, but I am aware of no instance where New Testament prophets are associated with Old Testament prophets. Ignatius, Bishop of Antioch (died about A.D. 107) wrote that Christ is the door “through which enter Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and the Prophets and the Apostles and the Church.… For the beloved Prophets had a message pointing to Him” (Ignatius, To the Philadelphians 9:1–2).
