Numbers 4:15 we read, ‘When the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites are to come and do the carrying.’ Then this stern warning is given, ‘But they must not touch the holy things or they will die.’ Everyone who took the trouble to find out what God had said about moving the ark would have known this. So we see from the story of Uzzah that not only does God keep his promise, he also fulfils his threats. He is a very foolish person who only takes notice of the promises of God’s blessings. We must remember
