A Study Commentary on Ezra-Nehemiah is unavailable, but you can change that!

Biblical scholar Gregory Goswell examines Ezra and Nehemiah, offering a commentary that is relevant to today’s Christians.

chapter refers to David some six times, but without a hint of any future ‘David’ who will come and deliver his people. The message of the book lies elsewhere. The focus upon priests and Levites (12:1–26) turns the dedication of the wall into something more than the celebration of a physical structure. It is rather an evocative symbol of the holiness of God’s people as a whole. Many people from these two successive generations toiled to achieve what the dedication of the wall culminated and celebrated.
