Moses had to be reduced to the stage where he had virtually no will at all. Moses’ question, “Who am I?” was a mere recognition of fact. He had yet to learn the meaning of Paul’s claim, “I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Cor. 12:9). God’s answer was, “I will be with you”; more was not needed; see Matt. 28:20.
