“Biblical charity is more than merely giving away that which we can afford to do without anyway.” Let’s live simply so that others can simply live and learn again the gift of giving. Complacency is very dangerous. It is a wise policy to check ourselves once in a while and make sure we haven’t lost the things that money can’t buy. Jesus himself said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own” (Luke 12:15 NLT). We all need to make priorities.
