6:22–23. The language of 6:22–23 continues the theme of verses 19–21 but shifts the imagery from treasure/heart to eye/body. Although the particulars of verses 22–23 are somewhat ambiguous in meaning, the overall emphasis reinforces the thought of verses 19–21, and the concluding point of verse 24 (i.e., the call to single minded devotion and allegiance before God).
