Trinity are coequal: the Spirit is very God just as the Son is God. There are three persons but one God. The third section of the Apostles’ Creed affirms that the Holy Spirit is God and not just the kid brother of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the link between Christ and the church—so we shall soon speak of the church. Without the Holy Spirit, the church would be just another charitable organization. With the Holy Spirit, the church is the living presence of God’s kingdom on earth—the body of Christ.
