CM101 Basic Elements of Preaching: An Introduction to Homiletics is unavailable, but you can change that!

Gary Carr provides a brief survey of the basic elements of sermon preparation and delivery. The course delineates the basic parts of a sermon, defines the terms involved in preaching, and describes several different types of sermons. Carr discusses other issues related to preaching, like the preacher’s character, humor, logic, mannerisms, and speech.

God preparing the preacher is as important as God preparing the message. And so I can’t emphasize enough that in being a better preacher, you really need to focus especially on your own character, at being a better proclaimer, and falling in love with God in a personal way before you start looking at just crafting good messages.
