the production values, the location, the budget, or even the actors. It’s about the story. A great story will cover a multitude of movie production sins. But a lousy story can’t be put back together by all the king’s horses and all the king’s men. So it is with a sermon. Back in the 1990s a study was done in one large new church, asking why visitors returned a second time. By far, the number one answer was “Because I liked the minister and his sermon.” The number two answer was “I loved the worship.”
