they had the inner conviction that this was a divine miracle, blasphemed with the worst possible blasphemy: They declared it to be a satanic work. They blasphemed: “This fellow doth not cast out devils but by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils” (Matt. 12:24). Hereupon Christ warned against the one great sin which, unlike other sins, is not forgiven.
