Once they met Jesus, they changed their vocabulary, but they didn’t change their values. Jesus was not fooled by their show of loyalty. He likened them to a fool who builds a house on sand without taking the time to lay a solid foundation. At first, the house looks the same as the wise man’s house, which has been carefully laid on a solid rock.
