adverbial modifier הצנע bring to the phrase “to walk with your God”? The root צנע occurs within the Old Testament canon elsewhere only in Prov. 11:2* as an adjective (צָנוּעַ plural): “When pride comes, then disgrace; but with the צְנוּעִים is wisdom.” The word thus stands in opposition to זָדוֹן = “pride,” “arrogance.” Consequently, in the light of the Vg (humilitas), the translation “humble” might at first recommend itself.
