25:33–43 The Feast of Tabernacles (Booths or Ingathering) began on the fifteenth of Tishri and lasted for a week. An eighth day (the twenty-second) was added and brought the entire festival year to a close. This feast commemorated God’s deliverance and protection during the wilderness wanderings (v. 43) and also celebrated the completion of all the harvests (v. 39).
