(1918–), evangelist, was born on 7 November 1918 near Charlotte, North Carolina. His parents, William Franklin and Morrow Coffey, raised him on a 400-acre farm with a well-managed and successful dairy. The farm had been passed down to Billy’s father and his uncle, Clyde Graham, from their parents. Billy Graham grew up with three younger siblings: Catherine, Melvin and Jean. The four children enjoyed parents who provided love, strict discipline and a moral upbringing.
