“Hence, the unity of Scripture is no minor matter. A fragmented Bible may actually produce theologically orthodox, morally upright, warmly pious, idol worshippers.” That is, a fragmented Bible may mean that we’re theologically orthodox, or morally upright, or warmly pious in our love for Christ and all of those things are very important. It could be that we have all of those things but then our lives are being directed and shaped by an idolatrous story. Let me see if I can illustrate that. The Christian
