There are five fundamental small group tasks within the framework of the Christian community: study, worship, prayer, evangelism and mission. For some, “community” is something you do, while for others it is merely a component (or fundamental) of small group ministry. But community runs like a current through all of ministry, so it is a vital part of each fundamental. At its core, community involves relationships.
