דְּבָרַי, “my words,” is formed of the plural construct דִּבְרֵי and the first-person common singular pronominal suffix—the literal meaning is “words of me.” Nouns with pronominal suffixes are another type of construct relationship (see Lesson 10). A noun with a pronominal suffix is in construct to its suffix, which serves as the absolute in the phrase. So, the construct still does not stand alone.
