“Once saved, always saved” was dinned into the ears of those whose walk was thoroughly carnal and worldly. Instead of a searching and probing ministry the pulpit cried “Peace, peace” unto those still at enmity with God. Those who were flattered as being “the stalwarts of the Faith” were often most partial in which aspects of the Faith they concentrated upon. Those whose proud boast it was that they “shunned not to declare all the counsel of God,” were for the most part men who repudiated human responsibility
