The twenty-four governors of the heavens, and the four living creatures who care for the earth, are assembled (4:4, 6b–7). They will worship and honor the one seated on the throne (vv. 10–11). In front of the throne there are “seven flaming torches, which are the seven spirits of God” and “something like a sea of glass, like crystal” (vv. 5b–6a).
