Introduction The Song of Solomon, as this book is called in the St. James Version, is the third book of which Solomon is the author, preceded by Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. In the Hebrew Bible it occupies a different place. It is found there in the section called “Kethubim,” the Hagiographic division.
