Israelites, and for many years they lived peacefully and happily in Egypt. Except for Joseph’s coffin that was awaiting burial in another land, the Israelites might have forgotten all about God’s promise to surely bring them back to the land of Canaan, the land He had promised to give them. People may forget God’s promises, but God does not. God always fulfils His Word. He promised to make Israel into a great nation in Egypt, and that was exactly what God was doing! Although the old people were dying,
