It clearly refers to the “dry land” in 10, 11, 12, etc., but in verse 26, “all the earth” seems to refer to the whole world that’s been made: sea, air, and land. > The word heavens is also repeated (vv 1, 8, 14, 15, 17, 20, 26, 28, 30, and 2:1). It usually refers to the “expanse” (sky), fashioned and named on day 2. I’m not sure whether heavens in 1:1 refers to this sky or to the highest heavens (the place we normally
