When we gather with God’s people to worship God we join the worship of heaven. ‘You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.’ (12:22b-23a) When you sing out of tune each Sunday with elderly Mrs Jones on the organ or Bob getting his guitar chords muddled, you join the worship of heaven. We do this because we have come ‘to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled
