Kings 14:25 tells us that Jonah prophesied to Israel during a time of unparalleled prosperity. Israel was expanding their borders back to the size they were when David was king. Things were going well for Israel—which doesn’t happen very often if you know the history of the nation of Israel. So, Jonah is on the winning team, something very few prophets got to do. Ezekiel’s job was basically to tell Israel to quit being whores! He said over and over again, “You are whoring yourself out to other nations.”
