Confession of 1689. This modern version of the London Baptist Confession of 1646 (hereafter “Confession” unless otherwise noted) is designed for use in the local church today. It was edited for use as a confession (or statement of faith) for Baptist churches in the Reformed tradition. The Confession was originally drawn up and signed in 1646 by seven churches in London.
