In His omniscience, Jesus knew there would be some Jews and others in the Church Age who would misunderstand what He meant in His tribute to John the Baptist, “For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John” (Matt. 11:13). He did not mean the Old Testament ended with John. He meant that what the prophets had foretold as coming has come. The Law and the Prophets were instructors concerning the Christ.
