the retelling of Bible stories makes up at least 7 percent of the text.* To help you really understand how the stories appear in the Quran, I have included a chart on the following pages listing the major Bible stories told in the order they appear in the Quran.1 As you can see from the chart, some stories were told in detail, such as accounts of Joseph and Moses, but most of the descriptions of the prophet’s lives were brief. Little bits and pieces were presented here and there. If you only listened
