Sex is good and necessary, for without it, the human race would surely die out. And when sex is protected within marriage, and serves more than our individual choices, it’s better for all of us, especially women and children. In fact, as sociologist Pitirim Sorokin suggested, few things are more important to the long-term health of a society than what it thinks about human sexuality.3 And Christianity offers a rich view of our humanity in which sexuality alone doesn’t define us. Instead, our identity
