warfare (“I’m depressed … God is displeased with me … I’m going crazy”); (2) to press through the oppression alone, refusing to get help; and (3) to be tentative and tardy about taking immediate authority in prayer. I am a veteran of numerous assaults over 40 years, and I still fall prey to these tendencies. So you will probably feel weak and unprepared. You will sometimes be miserably slow to respond. It always amazes me how often we know the right way to respond but fail to do it. You will make mistakes.
