they really are, to things as God knows them. Our problem is that we human beings have lost touch with reality. We live in a world of illusions spun by Satan that appeal to our old nature, the “old man” that Paul implores us to take off. Stumbling along in this world of illusion we are unable to distinguish between right and wrong, between what will benefit us and what will harm us. We desperately need a trustworthy source of light that will reveal reality. God has given us that beacon. It is His Word.
