think God is pleased when someone says, “I want to believe.” Sometimes that's the best we can come up with. This isn't a paltry offering. Wanting to believe is much more than stumbling aimlessly. It is a steady walk down a path that you may be able to see only to the next turn, but when you can glimpse a proper horizon, a God-ward horizon, you know you're headed in the right direction. Each step becomes more certain because you can see where you're going. Your beliefs ring true, and they start to
