first century was not more than the early forties due to illnesses and primitive conditions. During all this time Jesus lingered in a carpenter’s shop making footstools and benches. Showing us how to live would come later—when God saw fit and not before. Jesus appeared at the right time—“the fullness of time,” from a heavenly perspective and that’s all we know.
