In our society, the question is not whether we have excess, but rather what we will do with our excess. How will we turn our excess into action? What if individuals chose to live in contrast to the American dream and chose a story line different from the normal white-picket-fence picture? A dream should be a personal pursuit of passion and adventure because no one wants to live in the standardized world of The Truman Show. We all need to find our own space, our own dream, and our own gift to give.
