But for many, holiness is not the first and last thing to be said of God. There are often two reactions if you mention the holiness of God—indifference or anxiety. God’s holiness is not a popular theme in many churches. I have never attended a conference on the theme, seldom heard a sermon preached on it, all too rarely sung contemporary worship songs on holiness.
