“Blamelessness” is the nonnegotiable criterion for qualifying as a pastor. It should be considered the overaching, summarizing foundation to all of the others. The other characteristics are simply descriptions of aspects of “blamelessness.” Blamelessness does not mean perfection, but it does mean being an outstanding example. It means having unquestionable integrity, such that accusations of wrongdoing do not stick. A blameless person is not vulnerable to attacks on his character. When you are blameless,
