A calling is different from a career choice. A career is what you’re paid for, but a calling is what you’re made for. Understanding the difference between the two can make all the difference between fulfillment and frustration. Think of a calling as “a compelling invitation.” The call to salvation is the compelling invitation to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior. The call to ministry is a compelling invitation to cooperate with God in advancing His kingdom and building His church as a vocational
