When Abraham and Sarah crossed the border into Egypt, Pharaoh's spies quickly spotted Sarah. Her natural beauty plus her distinctive foreign features made her an easy target for money-hungry men who were also working hard for some special favor with the king of Egypt. Furthermore, it's a fact of history that Egyptian men were not as attracted to Egyptian women as much as they were attracted to women outside of their own culture. Insensitive and selfish, they believed their own women faded early.
