Men of Character: Abraham is unavailable, but you can change that!

Out of a sinful and pagan world, God called Abraham to leave everything and everyone he knew and travel to a land he had never seen. Abraham stepped out in faith, yet he hesitated and delayed. Throughout his long life, it was only when Abraham full yielded himself to the will of God, that God could fulfill His will through Abraham.

These people worshiped many gods, particularly nature gods. In the center of Ur was a large temple, called a ziggurat, where the people worshiped their chief deity, a moon god called Nanna. A Sudden Appearance Abraham probably lived with his family on the outskirts of Ur. His father, Terah, was a shepherd who had settled in the rich pasturelands surrounding the city.
