In this chapter, we will allow the Word of God to compel us with its commands—its imperatives—to pray together. In the next chapter, we will allow the Word of God to excite us with its precious promises—its incentives—to gather for prayer. In these two ways, the weight of Scripture will impress upon us that Christians must pray together.
