But, interestingly, there was no response from the king at all. 4:28–33 Time passed and Nebuchadnezzar apparently forgot God’s warning of judgment on his arrogance. God’s extension of grace, which lasted twelve months, did not move the king to repent (4:29). If anything, the delay probably made him think he had dodged the bullet. One day, he looked out from his palace and exclaimed, Is this not Babylon the Great that I have
