Second, combine your phrases together into a process. Place the what phrases in key order, in process language. Do so, not based on how the phrases best sound together, but on how you believe spiritual growth best happens. Order the phrases, using your understanding of how Scripture describes spiritual growth. In essence, you are marrying your purpose (what) and your process (how). Your purpose for existence and how you will disciple students will become one essential statement. The middle school
