I hope they cry. That’s what healthy people do. God’s Word never said we were not to grieve our losses. It says we are not to grieve as those who have no hope (1 Thess. 4:13). Big difference. As our children begin to grow up, I think they need to know that it’s still OK to cry. “Life” doesn’t give us that permission. Perhaps parents should. Take it from someone who did her best to fasten a clamp on her emotions. Tears have great value. Not one tear that is poured out before God ever goes unnoticed
