The Holy Spirit, through the human writers of Scripture, is no different. The goal of preaching is always only to say what God is saying in His Word. This means the most important part of the sermon frame must be the big idea—the one summarizing sentence that says what God is saying in any particular text. The big idea is the foundation of your frame.
