a state of imperfection. Here again, the burden of prayer’s perfection is not entrusted into the hands of the one praying but rather to the Holy Spirit, the great fixer of our prayers. As Peterson said, the Holy Spirit does our praying for us. This is why the greatest obstacle to a powerful life of prayer is not the words you use but simply failing to say anything at all.
