When you observe the Word of God, you only need to see what God says. You do not need to read things into what He says—nor should you. If He wants you to know something, He will make it plain to you. He wants you to know truth and understand it. He will tell you everything you need to know. You don’t need to add anything to God’s Word. As you carefully observe what He says, you will see truth and you will come to know Him as He really is. You observe the text to discover what it says—that is observation.
