Jesus wants His entire Church to hear His knock and open the door and allow Him to come in. He wants to reclaim His rightful place as the Lord of the Church. What a sad indictment of the condition of the Church today—that the Lord of the Church needs to ask to enter! This is a warning and a rebuke not only to Christians but also to pastors who are the leaders of local churches.
