situations where men can get into those types of relationships. It’s the “so what?” factor. We can take twenty or thirty guys to a large men’s conference, and they get stoked. Then they come home and say, “So what? What’s next? What do we do the fifty-one other weekends?” By placing men in small groups we can move them into intimate relationships that challenge them, help them grow, and give them a sense of belonging. We have a long way to go to build men of intimacy. As males we seem bred for independence.
