Resilient people identify those particular functions and qualities of being that are clearly in the gift zone. It is not really that hard to do. First, it could be reasonably assumed that—in most cases—a sense of clear call will be matched by giftedness. The two will usually go together. I have to qualify my statement, because everyone, sooner or later, meets someone who appears to defy the combination. They are called but seemingly not gifted (as far as we can see), but they get the job done anyway.
