13Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And—I have destroyed idols, And caused vain things to cease from Noph, And a prince of the land of Egypt there is no more, And I give fear in the land of Egypt. 14And I have made Pathros desolate, And I have given fire against Zoan, And I have done judgments in No, 15And I have poured out My fury on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt, And I have cut off the multitude of No. 16And I have given fire against Egypt, Greatly pained is Sin, and No is to be rent, And Noph hath daily distresses.

“Thus says the Lord God:

“I will destroy the idols

and put an end to the images in Memphis;

there shall no longer be a prince from the land of Egypt;

so I will put fear in the land of Egypt.

I will make Pathros a desolation

and will set fire to Zoan

and will execute judgments on Thebes.

And I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,

the stronghold of Egypt,

and cut off the multitude of Thebes.

And I will set fire to Egypt;

Pelusium shall be in great agony;

Thebes shall be breached,

and Memphis shall face enemies by day.

I will lay waste Upper Egypt,

set fire to Zoan

and inflict punishment on Thebes.

I will pour out my wrath on Pelusium,

the stronghold of Egypt,

and wipe out the hordes of Thebes.

I will set fire to Egypt;

Pelusium will writhe in agony.

Thebes will be taken by storm;

Memphis will be in constant distress.

Thebes will be breached,

and Memphis will face foes in broad daylight.

NLTNew Living Translation

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

I will smash the idols of Egypt

and the images at Memphis.

There will be no rulers left in Egypt;

terror will sweep the land.

I will destroy southern Egypt,

set fire to Zoan,

and bring judgment against Thebes.

I will pour out my fury on Pelusium,

the strongest fortress of Egypt,

and I will stamp out

the hordes of Thebes.

Yes, I will set fire to all Egypt!

Pelusium will be racked with pain;

Thebes will be torn apart;

Memphis will live in constant terror.
